The Luxury of Ignorance: An Open-Source Horror Story Eric Raymond talks about his problems trying to share a printer on his home network using the CUPS GUI interface. I have encounterd similar problems configuring Samba and adding a CDRW. The developers should try to make their GUI interfaces work more like the Mac’s. This is absolutely necessary before users like my wife, kids, and parents will be able to comfortably use Linux on an everyday basis.
